HLTA/Active Citizens Lead

Maple House School is an independent special school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for young people aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as social and communication difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions. Our team is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in tailoring our approach to meet the individual needs of each student, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Due to the nature of our students, we know that building trusting relationships is key to unlocking their true potential and to being able to support them achieving their own individual goals. Students are supported through their journey whether it is academics, social skills development, emotional resilience or vital life skills.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced outdoor activities leader with a creative, can do attitude, to oversee out outdoor activities curriculum. Active Citizens is an SEMH programme centred around relationships, confidence, resilience, mental well being and cultural capital. We provide opportunities every day for our students to learn outside of the classroom with each class being offsite once a week.

We also provide Active Citizens Life Skills which is our careers and independence learning programme for those in upper KS3 and KS4. This programme builds knowledge, understanding and confidence in the local and wider community.
