Our Uniform and Standards
At Maple House we understand that uniform can be overwhelming for students, but we also understand the importance of having a uniform in school for many reasons. We want to create a sense of belonging whilst being inclusive to all students and teach our students the importance of appearance, whilst ensuring that all of our students feel the same in school. We have considered the needs of our children and have sought to find the least invasive and demanding uniform approach.

Our uniform is purple with the school logo. Students will be required to wear either:
-
a school t-shirt or polo with a logo
-
a school jumper, cardigan or fleece.
These are purple in colour, although there are white options in the t-shirt and polo available.
We ask that students, although they have control over the rest of the uniform, they wear
-
black or grey bottoms/skirt or long shorts,
-
black trainers or shoes.
We do provide additional items for those that would like the options including a hoody for Active Citizens days, a school coat with fleece lining and there are hats and bags available.
Additional school uniform requirements include:
-
Waterproof trousers/jacket and wellies for Active Citizens/Forest School
-
PE kit- either white or purple t-shirt
Ears are permitted to have one pair of studs for primary students, these must removed on PE days. Children in upper school are required to wear sensible ear studs and remove them for PE and outdoor education activities.
Children may wear a watch to school but no smartwatches must not be connected to mobile phones.
